On October 8th, 2017, the Tubbs Fire broke out in Sonoma County. Our Brewmaster/COO & Brewery-Hero, a local Fire Captain, was on-duty serving our community from that Sunday through the following Friday morning. While we were concerned for his safety & that of all our first responder family, St. Florian's Brewery focused our energy on fundraising to support our many friends, customers, first responders & all those we welcome to our brewery family by way of this event which has bonded our community together. #theloveintheairisthickerthanthesmoke #sonomapride #sonomastrong

On Friday, October 13th, Aron was released from his long shift. Rather than allow his body & mind to recover, he continued serving his community. His phone rang immediately & conversations ensued with Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing Co. & Rich Norgrove of Bear Republic Brewing Co. A collaboration beer to be brewed up under Russian River's Sonoma Pride label with Bear Republic was crafted. With passion & heart, each brewery's crew is giving all they can offer to Sonoma County. Our hearts ache to see a place we love so much in devastation. #drinklocal #sonomacountyales
On Saturday, October 14th, Amy previously planned a live music event, with The Renovators. Under the changed circumstances, she called the band earlier in the week, they agreed that the event should be a fundraiser. Foodtrucks (Porto Burger & Eatin Street) agreed to donate funds. And, the community came together that evening. (And, Aron, without rest, continued to serve his community...literally...this time, pulling handles behind the bar, pint after pint, for fire relief.) The brewery overflowed with love & over $5000 was raised that night...just a drop in the fire boot, but we ALL can do something to make a difference. #letsdrinktotheheroinallofus
Beginning with the fundraiser on October 14th, St. Florian's also began a non-perishable food drive with Redwood Empire Food Bank. Our young sons are donating all funds raised via their ongoing CRV drive to fire relief. Please feel welcome to drop off any non-perishable food items & your CRV-reedemable items during Tap Station hours.
On Monday, October 16th, Bear Republic sent down a crew in Mutual Aid to support Aron as he got brewery production back up to speed, including their Head Brewer, he & his wife are loved friends who lost their family home in the fire (https://www.gofundme.com/RobandCami). And on Thursday, October 19th, together with Bear Republic, we brewed our collaboration: Mutual Aid. Nearly all of the ingredients & packaging were donated by beloved vendors: Admiral Maltings, Ardaugh Glass, GigaYeast, Roy Farms & THI Label. Russian River recruited 50 breweries to take part in the Sonoma Pride project. Check out who is on board & how much the project has cumulatively raised: Sonoma Pride. #mutualaid #sonomapride
